Arduino is a microcontroller you program to control the physical world: from making LEDs blink to using a remote to control your board!

Learning how to use Arduino can lead to cool projects like: home automation to your plant tweeting you when it needs water.

In this class, you will learn the very basics of installing the needed software to writing programs to control your board.

Topics may include:

  • What is Arduino
  • Installing software & connecting the board
  • Making it blink
  • Blinking LED
  • R(ed), G(reen), B(lue) LED
  • Push Buttons
  • Temperature Sensor
  • 7-segment display
  • 8×8 matrix LEDs
  • Infrared remote control

You will need to bring your own laptop (Windows, Mac or Linux).
Please download the software before the class.

Arduino boards and kits will be provided to use during the class. If you have your own Arduino, you can bring that, too.
